Handcrafted by Amish artisans, the Sopris X-Style Halter is built to make every interaction with your alpaca easier, safer, and more comfortable — for both of you.

The stand-up nose band stays in place so haltering is always quick and frustration-free. Thanks to the innovative X-style noseband design, the halter is somewhat self-adjusting — automatically accommodating a wide range of nose sizes within each size range without the need for constant readjustment. And forget fussing with multiple buckles — one simple crown strap adjustment is all it takes to dial in the perfect fit.

Safety is built into the design. Unlike traditional halters, the Sopris X actually reduces nose band pressure as the lead tightens, so there's no risk of it slipping down or restricting your alpaca. It's strong enough for restraint and unexpected surprises, yet provides the clear, gentle communication you need during training and shows.

Comfort wasn't an afterthought either. With no offset edges or awkward hardware against your alpaca's face, and the ability to loosen the crown strap for relaxed chewing, your animal stays at ease. All halters feature solid brass hardware on 5/8" nylon webbing, available in 11 colors.
