Made from durable, lightweight 400 Denier water-repellent nylon, this pack is built to handle whatever adventure you and your animals have in store. Whether you're heading out on a light picnic outing, marching in a parade, competing in a pack class at a show, or simply enjoying a day on the trail, this versatile pack is up for the occasion. And for parades, stuff the panniers with candy to toss to spectators for an extra crowd-pleasing touch!
Its lighter weight water-resistant nylon construction makes this pack less bulky than our Deluxe Training Pack — and that's exactly what makes it such a great choice for initial pack training with younger animals. With one compartment on each side rather than two, it's a wonderful way to introduce your llama or alpaca to carrying a load without overwhelming them. When your animal is ready to step up, our Deluxe Training Pack with two compartments per side is the natural next step!
The pack features two large side compartments (panniers), each with a heavy-duty zipper and metal ring pulls for easy opening and closing. Two adjustable cinch belly straps are sewn directly onto the back pad for a snug, secure fit.

Small (New!) — Fits most adult alpacas and juvenile llamas
- Panniers: approximately 13" H x 13" W x 4.5" deep
- Back pad: approximately 8" wide x 5.5" between panniers
- Belly straps: extend to approximately 48" including buckle
Standard — Fits adult llamas and very large alpacas
- Panniers: approximately 15" H x 17" W x 4.5" deep
- Back pad: approximately 8" wide x 10" between panniers
- Belly straps: extend to approximately 66" including buckle
