The importance and usefulness of natural active yeasts, and particularly of lactic yeasts, in the nourishment and bioregulation of the intestinal apparatus of horses has been common knowledge for quite some time now. Functions

The fodder's lactic yeasts feature enzymes capable of playing a fundamental part in digestion processes regarding sugars (especially lactose thanks to enzyme activity brought about by the beta-galactosydasis enzyme), absorbing nutritional principles and the formation of co-enzymatic factors.

Once the lactic yeasts in TURVAL 6 Daily have been introduced into the animal's intestine, they perform a direct and indirect function on its intestinal microbic flora. Direct action is carried out on and against coliforms and many pathogenic enterobacteria. Indirect action, on the other hand, is carried out by favoring the development of specific lactobacilli, which are already found in the animal's intestines, and by creating the intestinal microflora which is necessary to maintain the animal's intestinal microbic balance.

The particular probiotic properties lie in their capability to guarantee high replication vitality in the presence of extremely low pH (3-3.5). This is also due to their external cell walls which are high in chitin content.
